What better time to start a travelogue than Now? The older I get, the more I realize that I'm always just "passing through", as Leonard Cohen once sang. As for the word "bardo", it's translates from the Tibetan as "transitional space", or "time of transition". And yes, as my grown children delight in reminding me, I'm already way on down the road.
In a few days, I'll be driving the back roads to Arizona to take up house-holding with the amazing Diana, my long-distance partner of three years. It's definitely my time of transition.
After saying goodbyes for the past three months, driving a small truck of musical gear, books and clothes to AZ last week, and selling off all my furniture in a final garage sale in Minnesota, it'll be just me, a car and a guitar, stopping at every open mic and hot springs I can find between Northfield Minnesota and Prescott Arizona.
Daily bloggings will be via iPhone, most likely short and (hopefully)pithy. And if you have any stops to recommend, please don't be shy!
